In GetCited.me, the GEO audit readiness score is a 0–100 technical score derived from prioritized audit recommendations. Critical and high-priority findings carry larger penalties; content opportunities and article ideas are excluded from this technical score.
In plain terms
The audit inspects live page and policy signals such as crawler access, robots.txt, root-level llms.txt and ai.txt presence, sitemap and metadata signals, Organization markup, FAQPage markup, and visible FAQ alignment.
The score starts from technical readiness findings, not from how often the brand appeared in monitored AI answers.
A high audit score means fewer detected technical gaps. It does not guarantee indexing, retrieval, a brand mention, or a source citation.
Why it matters
A single score makes technical discoverability concrete and trackable across a team.
It prioritizes work: the biggest score gaps usually point to the fixes with the most impact on technical readiness.
